About the Series:
Elise has always enjoyed slow hand-craft processes, that require patience and care. She recently began combining her love of gardening with her art practice, growing her own materials for weaving and dyeing. The "wild baskets" are hand-woven into organic forms, using natural materials and plant-dyed basket reed. For each basket, Elise must grow and harvest the pigment plants, often dyeing the reeds as she weaves them- a process that she see's as an empathetic collabortaiton with nature. 
Each wild basket is a truely unique one-of-a-kind art object.
